THE JOURNEY BEGINS...

Bangor Early Childhood (BEC) is a program for any Bangor family with children ages birth to kindergarten. This home based program offered through Bangor Public Schools is based on the idea that the family provides the child's first and most significant learning environment and parents are a child's first and most important teachers. Using the Parents As Teachers model and materials, BEC works to strengthen families. Our goal is to enhance the ability of all parents to provide the best possible environment for their child's learning and growth.

Periodic screenings increase parents' understanding of their children's developmental progress, as well as alert them to any possible delays. Early intervention of identified problems help improve chances that children will enter school ready to learn!

Play And Learn - sponsored by "Early On" the group meets in our center on Friday mornings from 9:30 - 11 a.m. Play time, activities, stories and snacks for children under 5 with their parent(s).
