South Walnut Car Loop Update

South Walnut families, please read and share this important information regarding morning car drop off procedures for the upcoming school year: Starting this school year, South Walnut’s car loop will move to the area by the gym. Students will enter the building through the doors located next to the gym.  Do not use the back loop – this area is for buses only.  Car Loop Directions: Cars will enter on the right side at the far south end of S. Walnut Street. Follow the route, snaking around the lot, and pull all the way to the end of the sidewalk. Students should exit on the passenger side of the vehicle. Students are to stay in their vehicle until staff helps them out. If your child needs assistance or you must get out of your car, please park in a designated parking space rather than using the car loop.  Staff will work quickly to help students in and out of vehicles to keep the line moving.  When exiting the loop, you must turn right only to exit onto S. Walnut Street toward CR 681. This road is currently being resealed. These changes are designed to reduce traffic backups and improve safety for both bus riders and car riders.  Here is a map for your reference:
